The RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Higher Education and Science Committee

The list of scholarly research topics ensured to be financed for the purpose of contract (thematic) funding – announced on May 5 – of scientific and technological activities in the spheres of “natural sciences” and “engineering and technology” have been summarised and approved according to N 27- Ա/Ք order of the Chairman of the RA MES State Committee of Science, October 28, 2014. 

On October 6-9, in the Italian city Trieste, the Chairman of the RA MES State Committee of Science, S. Harutyunyan, participated in an event organised for the 50^th anniversary of the Abdus Salaam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), which was attended by more than 250 scientists from around the world.

The Chairman of the RA MES State Committee of Science, S. Harutyunyan, went toChina’sTianjincity to attend the annual event “Annual Meeting of the New Champions” organised on September 10-12, which was attended by government officials, heads of large enterprises, representatives of business and academic circles from more than 90 countries.

On September 4, the Chairman of the RA MES State Committee of Science, Samvel Harutyunyan, participated in a sitting to commemorate Alexei Sissakian, former director of JINR, which was organised on September 1-5, supported by the ICTP (International Center for Theoretical Physics), in the framework of “Optics and its Applications” international conference, held in the RA NAA.

On September 4, the Chairman of the RA MES State Committee of Science, Samvel Harutyunyan met with the deputy director of the Dubna Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Grigory Trubnikov, and with the director of Theoretical Physics laboratory of the same institute, Victor Voronov.

On July 22, the formal ceremony of opening AREAL (AREAL-Advanced Research Electron Accelerator Laboratory) scientific research linear accelerator was held at the CANDLE Synchrotron Research Institute.

On July 8, in Dubna (RF), the delegation directed by the Chairman of the RA State Committee of Science, Samvel Harutyunyan, met with the Directorate of the Deputy Chairman of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. JINR Vice-Director Mr. Itkis, academician Y. Hovhannisyan and the JINR staff participated in the meeting.
