On January 31, Deputy Chairman of the RA Higher Education and Science Committee Artur Movsisyan and Country Director of the British Council Armenia Office, Addeh Hovassapian, met with the 25 participants of the professional online course titled “Researcher Connect.”

Deputy Chairman of the Higher Education and Science Committee Artur Movsisyan thanked the British Council for the initiative and congratulated the beneficiaries. Movsisyan emphasized that the skills and knowledge offered by this program align with Armenia’s overall policy priorities—such as the internationalization of science, scientific output and publications, use of international scientific databases, and establishing global partnerships. He expressed hope that the participants would reach new heights thanks to this course.

Adde Hovasapian, Director of the British Council Armenia, highly appreciated the cooperation with the Higher Education and Science Committee and presented the activities of the British Council’s Armenian branch in detail. He noted that the Council’s mission is to support Armenia’s development by building mutual understanding, trust, and connections between the peoples of Armenia and the United Kingdom in three main areas:

  • English language teaching,

  • Higher education,

  • Arts and culture programs.

“This program is designed for researchers, providing them with the opportunity to present their research more clearly and effectively on international platforms, thereby making Armenia’s expertise accessible to various countries,” noted Hovasapian.

He also shared that they had received over 100 applications and selected 25 participants. He added that, if successful, the program would be continued in the future.

It should be noted that the professional online course “Researcher Connect,” organized by the British Council Armenia with the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports’ Higher Education and Science Committee, will be held from February 3 to 6 and from February 10 to 13, 2025.

‘Researcher Connect’ promotes the development of excellent communication skills for international, multicultural academic contexts. The aim is to enhance the productivity of you as individual researchers and, in turn, provide your universities and research institutions with a competitive advantage in the fast-moving international research environment.
